Edward Snoble has been a Financial Representative with Northwestern
Mutual Financial Network since 2001.
Prior to joining Northwestern Mutual Financial Network, Ed was an accountant. He always knew he wanted to start a financial practice. The network was the best fit for him.
Ed offers the following insights on his career:
This career is most rewarding because it challenges you to become your very best. Every day I learn more and more. Just when you think you have heard it all. It's a challenging career, too. The toughest part about being a Financial Representative is being focused every day. When you run your own practice there is no such thing as slacking off. If you don't do the work, it does not get done.
The hardest part of starting your own practice is defining your marketplace. In the beginning I was willing to speak with anyone who was willing to save money. Along the way, I've learned I never realized I could be so driven to succeed. It has completely consumed me.
I have set some very high expectations for myself and my practice. I am proud to say that I have met every goal to date. My most significant goal is to have my renewal accounts be large enough to be able to cover my office expenses and allow my wife to stay home with our children. This goal should be met in the next five years.
If you want complete control over your future, then a career as a Financial Representative is the key. This career requires a lot of self discipline. If you have a big heart, strong work ethic, and a passion to succeed, then this is a perfect fit!
This career is not for everyone, but for the right person, it can be the most fulfilling career choice you have ever made!
Ed was raised in Elk Grove Village, Illinois and now lives with his wife, Jean in Bartlett with their dogs, Sparky and Maya. Ed has a passion for salt water reef fish tanks. He enjoys the beauty they create.
